NATURE PLAY SINGAPORE

Chapter Zero is collaborating with Nature Play by Clare Caro,to nurture the child-led play community in Singapore.

Nature Play is an approach to childhood play and learning that emphasises connecting with and exploring the natural world. It encourages children to spend time outdoors, engaging in unstructured play and interacting with natural elements like trees, water, rocks and wildlife. Nature play is often contrasted with structured, adult-led activities and screen based entertainment,

The main focus of nature play is to allow children to freely explore and interact with their environment, fostering their curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills. It encourages physical activity, imaginative play, and sensory experiences, all of which are beneficial for a child's holistic development.

We will be leading the Monthly Nature Play Singapore sessions as well as Facebook Group, which serves as a gathering space for a community of individuals who share similar interests, providing them with a platform to express their thoughts, address concerns and seek answers regarding Nature Play.

What to expect:

Our slow walk into the park takes us under lush tropical trees, alongside special insect habitat logs. Regardless of whether the path is pushchair-friendly or not, we would recommend using a sling or piggy-back for children not ready to walk themselves. When we reach the base there is overhead shelter to enjoy a seat, and plenty of features to facilitate play, for all ages.
