Being With Baby Parent-Infant Classes

You and your pre-crawling infant (born Oct 2022 - Jan 2023) are warmly welcome to join our Being With Baby Parent-Infant classes.

Inspired by Magda Gerber’s Educaring® Approach, our parent-infant classes offer parents a safe, supportive and serene environment to learn about respectful and mindful parenting. In a space set up to support independent and authentic play, your baby will be offered an unhurried environment to simply ‘be’.

Facilitated in small groups with parents and babies coming together weekly in a relaxing environment, you can take pleasure in slowing down and observing your child as they freely explore, move, and master skills in their own time. This is a time for you to find peace and confidence in parenting, with a small community of likeminded parents.

Term 1: 20 April - 8 June (8 weekly sessions)

Day: Thursdays

Time: 1.30AM - 2.45PM

Venue: Terra Luna Yoga, 896 Dunearn Road, 03-03D, Singapore 589472

Cost: $520 (includes 8 weekly sessions, and 1 Orientation session)

*Classes will be recorded as part of Li Ling's distance learning for RIE® Practicum™. Recordings will be used strictly for learning purposes and will only be shared for review with her mentor, RIE® Associate Sharon Smith, who is based in New Zealand. 

Orientation

This orientation is for participants of the parent-infant class to learn more about the flow of our classes. You will also be introduced to the respectful caregiving approach that inspires our classes. This is an adult-only session. You are encouraged to arrange for child-minding support, but if you need to bring your baby along, please drop Li Ling a note at liling@chapterzero.org .

Facilitator

Li Ling is a mother of two girls and Director of Chapter Zero. She completed RIE® Foundations in 2017 and is currently a RIE® Practicum™ student. She is also a certified facilitator for Circle of Security Parenting™ and Self-Reg®. It brings her joy to support families in growing peaceful partnerships in their homes and beyond.
