About

Compassionate Communication & Active Listening - practice group

Enhance your respectful caregiving practice by nurturing your compassionate communication and active listening skills together with like-minded caregivers once a week for 6 weeks.

Compassionate communication is based on the framework of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) - a simple yet profound way of connecting with yourself and others authentically.

Active listening is a concept that is easy to understand but not always easy to practice or master. It is a learned skill that gets better with practice and self awareness. Over this 6 week practice, we will practice and experience giving and receiving empathetic listening.

Through the 6 sessions, we will explore and unpack the pillars of the NVC framework, while practice active listening skills in break out sessions:

(1) Introducing the 4 pillars of NVC (observation, feelings, needs and requests)
