About Sherry Yuan Hunter, Complex Trauma Recovery & Parenting Coach:

A complex trauma recovery coach, Sherry Yuan Hunter works with parents around the world to untangle their overwhelm and create their personal parenting playbook. Sherry started practicing respectful parenting when she saw how her rage from emotional triggers impacted the relationship she had with her children.

Doing the Work to unpack her complex trauma led her to certifications with the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching and the Jai Institute for Parenting. She has shifted from parenting from a place of fear to parenting from a place of curiosity and compassion.

She is passionate about helping parents find relief from the unrelenting pressures of parenting. Her practical approach to Doing the Work helps parents shift energy spent in rumination, shame, and blame to energy invested in connection, creativity, and compassion.

Healing from complex trauma impacts every aspect of parenting, allowing us to be the parents we want to be. Whether you’re a “Kiasu” / Tiger parent working on Untigering, a Recovering perfectionist or a family background where different cultures come together, Sherry’s down-to-earth coaching style creates a safe space for us to be perfectly imperfect as we heal together, figure out what works for us as a unique individual, and build a support team around us.
