About

Join Sherry Yuan Hunter, Complex Trauma Recovery & Parenting Coach as she leads us in a 5-week online empowering coaching programme, to helps us understand in-depth, why and how emotional triggers occur; unpack our personal parenting expectations and guide us on what we can do to protect our psychological safety without adding to our overwhelm.

At the end of the programme, each participant will develop an emotional trigger recovery tool kit with practical skills that are unique to them. With your tool kit, it is our hope that you will find peace with the past, hope for the future, and flow in the present.

Sherry’s goal is to help people remove energy suckers from unnecessary suffering so that you can invest that into what you love about life, such as your family, career, and health.

If you are experiencing rage, anxiety or depression when our children behave in certain ways, we may THINK it’s about our children, but it’s actually about us. Often it is linked to complex trauma or developmental trauma from our childhood or past life experiences. Healing our trauma can soothe our nervous system so that triggers don’t last as long or don’t pop up as often. There are many ways to heal and self-soothe and the webinar and programme gives you a good foundational understanding on emotional triggers along with practical tips that are personalised to you.

Here's what you will experience when you join the programme:

Psychoeducation

learning the science behind triggers and the nervous system, so you can better understand why your body is responding in certain ways.

Healing through self awareness and unpacking

- you will be invited to reflect on your triggers and what you respond to

Healing through connecting with others, witnessing their stories, and having your stories witnessed and validated

- there is power in knowing that you are not alone in this journey

Healing through relational safety and kickstarting your journey of moving towards your authentic self

- we are committed to supporting you throughout your healing journey and the support continues beyond the programme in the form of free access to a safe online community of parents healing together, sharing resources with each other, and encouraging each other.

About Sherry Yuan Hunter, Complex Trauma Recovery & Parenting Coach:

A complex trauma recovery coach, Sherry Yuan Hunter works with parents around the world to untangle their overwhelm and create their personal parenting playbook. Sherry started practicing respectful parenting when she saw how her rage from emotional triggers impacted the relationship she had with her children.

Doing the Work to unpack her complex trauma led her to certifications with the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching and the Jai Institute for Parenting. She has shifted from parenting from a place of fear to parenting from a place of curiosity and compassion.

She is passionate about helping parents find relief from the unrelenting pressures of parenting. Her practical approach to Doing the Work helps parents shift energy spent in rumination, shame, and blame to energy invested in connection, creativity, and compassion.

Healing from complex trauma impacts every aspect of parenting, allowing us to be the parents we want to be. Whether you’re a “Kiasu” / Tiger parent working on Untigering, a Recovering perfectionist or a family background where different cultures come together, Sherry’s down-to-earth coaching style creates a safe space for us to be perfectly imperfect as we heal together, figure out what works for us as a unique individual, and build a support team around us.
