Nature Play originates from London, UK and is the brain child of Clare Caro, a play enthusiast and the curator of the famed The Pikler Collection.
If you enjoy sitting in the shade whilst your children explore the natural world with peers, this is a meet-up for you.
WHAT IS NATURE PLAY?
The focus of a Nature Play session is to allow the child the space, place and time to follow their own play urges.
Nature Play is about creating a space for the children to lead their own play, and a place for the adults to learn how to support that.
In order for our children to bond with nature and the earth, they must spend time outside.
HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GROUPS?
It is free, happens whether rain or shine (unless hazardous), for children of ALL ages (babies to teens), supports child-led play and natural gross motor development, supporting the children without ‘helping’ them (including not forcing sharing, allowing conflict with minimal intervention, not putting them into a position they cannot get into themselves) and includes a healthy snack-time for children and adults.
