7 Day Gentle Check-In invitation:

As we usher in the new year, we invite you to practice self-kindness and compassion through checking in and connecting.

Often, we find ourselves caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, neglecting the most important person in the equation – ourselves.

Here is a gentle invitation to connect and check in. Remember, it's okay to go at your own pace and you don't have to do all 7 days in one go! Use these check - ins whenever you feel like you need them any day, week or part of the year!

This 7-day gentle invitation to check in is designed to help you cultivate a habit of compassion towards yourself, fostering a positive and nurturing relationship with the person who matters the most – you.

Day #1 - Celebrate Small wins

Today, we invite you to take a moment to reflect on your “wins”, big or small. Celebrate the progress you've made on your journey or a challenge you are surviving through. Write down one “win” that you're proud of and reach out to someone who has supported you.

Day 2 #2 - Connect to Gratitude

Connecting to gratitude helps soothe our nervous system. Think about what makes you smile or creates a warm feeling within you. Write down three things you're grateful for, no matter how small

"Practicing self love means learning how to trust ourselves, to treat ourselves with respect, and to be kind and affectionate towards ourselves." – Brene Brown

day #3 - Mindful Moment

Take a mindful moment today. Pause, breathe, and observe the present. Share a description of your mindful moment in the comments. Let's inspire each other to practice being present.

day #4 - Self care rituals

Sustainable self-care rituals are practices that are integrated within your regular routine or rhythm that nourish and refuel you. Let's encourage each other to prioritize self-care. It doesn't have to be lavish. It could be as simple as drinking your favourite coffee or going for a walk.

day #5 -Intentional affirmation

Intentional affirmations when done with gentleness can connect us to our strengths and intentions. If you’re finding it hard to say “I am..", consider saying “I give myself permission to…”

day #6 -Embrace Uniqueness

Connect to what makes you unique and let’s celebrate authentic connection with our unique parts. Journal about something that makes you uniquely you.

day #7 -Connection intention

Consider which was your favourite way to check in and connect with yourself moving forward. Share your connection intentions and invite others to join in and support each other on our connection practice in the comments.

Cultivating connection 🌱

Remember that cultivating self-compassion is a continuous process that unfolds over time.

By incorporating these practices into your routine or whenever you need them, you're planting seeds and laying the foundation for a more compassionate and fulfilling life.

May this new year bring you an abundance of self-love and kindness.
